A kitten and a poodle

Today, Kate is six weeks old! We are still waiting for that elusive first smile but are enjoying the increased eye contact and play time.

Artsy Fartsy

I was just looking through some of my old travel photos and decided to share a few with all of you. I love taking pictures but don't have any training or knowledge of light, shadows, etc. But, I still enjoy doing it and hope you enjoy looking at these!

These little girls are participating in some ancient Hindu coming of age ritual in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Somewhere in India. I can't remember.

There were at least 100 donkeys and mules on this ancient pathway from the top of Santorini, Greece to the ocean below. I of course rode one. And I was pregnant but didn't know it.

Mykonos, Greece - my fav island.

These two were from what I like to call my "window to the world" period. :) Ha, ha. Anyway, they are obviously pictures of something through a window lattice.

Waterway in Venice seen through the "Bridge of Sighs".

View of the Taj Mahal through a window in the Agra Palace or Fort - can't quite remember.

The best company ever!

For some reason, in the last two days, I can't upload any pictures to my blog. So until I can have Brett take a look at this I decided to express what a fantastic company my husband works for since I don't need to show any pictures to explain this.

If you have a website that needs hosting then I highly recommend you choose Dreamhost. The company is comprised of a great group of young, creative and hard-working people. Started by four college friends the history of this eclectic company is a dot-com success story.

Personally I believe this company is wonderful because of how fantastically they treat their employees. A perfect example is how our family was treated when Kate was born. Brett was able to take two months off. Two months!!! Can you believe that?! That is totally unheard of. (If you have a tech background and are looking for a job I highly recommend checking them out!

On top of the excellent paternity benefits, the company very graciously sent us an abundantly generous gift card to Vons so we can conveniently order diapers, formula and groceries online for delivery. It doesn't get much better than that for a company that takes care of its people.

So, thank you Dreamhost for letting Daddy be home with us for a long time and making sure we have sustenance! You are the best and we love you all!
