The elusive gap
It's official. It looks like Kate is going to have a gap between her two front teeth. When I was pregnant I remember looking at some pictures of Brett when he was little and noticing a sizable gap between his front teeth. I was shocked that he had this because there are no traces of it now due to braces. But, in the back of my head I knew this was genetic.
Now that Kate's two front teeth have come in it is evident that she also has this gap. I tried to get some pictures of it but couldn't. I will keep trying but in the meantime enjoy these pics of Kate playing in the backyard.
Oh and I don't have anything against people with gaps. Of course I don't think it is ideal. I do after all work in the esthetic dentistry industry. My mother reprimanded me for lamenting over this new found feature and added, "Tammy, what will you do if she is an ugly child?!" :)
I've also included some evidence to the gap gene.
Of course it also could just be normal baby teeth.

She is such a beatiful child Tammy. Even if she does have that gap, she is still gorgeous. She has gorgeous parents to follow after with or without a gap. I love the pics. I hope all is well with you and your family. Take Care
The gap will probably go away when all of her molers grow in, two of my kids had the gap at first. It is a good indication that her adult teeth will be straight. Lauren did not have the gap and her adult teeth came in crooked because she didn't have enough space for them.... $3400 in braces took care of that and she has a beautiful smile... but Brianna had the biggest gap, didn't need braces and has a beautiful smile as an adult. Gaps in baby teeth are a good thing ; )
