Kate had her first real doctor's appointment today. She weighed in at 8.9 lbs and 21.5". The little girl has grown a lot! The doctor was very pleased with her development and told us we were doing a good job. He also suggested that we stop the formula/bottles cold turkey to see if we can get her to breastfeed. This will be a challenge emotionally and physically but we are going to give it a try. We will have to bring her back for a weighing in a few days to make sure she hasn't lost too much weight. Given her current above average weight gain the pediatrician thinks we are safe going this route.
